Platform · Website Identity Resolution

Shopping intent on the dealership website, resolved to a real person.

You're already paying for the traffic. Website Identity Resolution, powered by Launch Labs, tells you which of those visitors are people you already know, shopping right now: matched to a real person with a sales and service history.

Built on the Data Management Layer

Website Identity Resolution only works because the identities behind the traffic are already resolved. Underneath it, the Data Management Layer brings DMS, CRM and website records together into one accurate person and household, so the moment a visitor is recognized on the site, their full sales and service history is already attached.

A session is not a shopper. A resolved person who viewed the same VDP twice this week is.

IDENTIFIED

A person, not a session

Web activity resolves to an identity, so it joins their DMS and CRM history.

AUDIENCE-READY

A filter, not a report

Behavior is a first-class input in the Activation Studio, alongside sales, service and lead history.

ACTIONABLE

Straight to a campaign

The audience you build from intent goes into a campaign, not a dashboard nobody opens.

420K

web shoppers newly reachable across the dealers we measure

VDP condition sets per audience, each scoping a different vehicle

How the matching works

Website Identity Resolution uses Launch Labs’ probabilistic identity resolution to stitch together who is visiting the dealership website, then marries that with our matching behind the resolved identities, so the visitors we recognize carry their full sales and service history.

What you can build audiences on

Number of website visitsSeparate the person who looked once from the one who has been back four times this week.
Session durationMatch anyone with a session in a given length range, time on site as an intent signal, not a vanity metric.
Engagement time frameA rolling window that stays current, or a fixed calendar range for a specific campaign period.
VDP views by vehicleScope a viewed vehicle by year, make, model and number of views, who looked at a 2024 Silverado, twice, in the last ten days.
Multiple VDP conditionsUp to three condition sets per audience. Filters inside one set apply to the same vehicle; separate sets can match different vehicles.
Include or exclude viewersTarget the people who viewed a model, or deliberately suppress them from a campaign about something else.

Four audiences that make a client meeting easy

The owner shopping again

An existing customer with equity who has viewed a newer version of what they already own, the highest-intent audience most dealers have never built.

The lead that went quiet

A CRM lead that never closed, still returning to the site, the follow-up nobody made because the two systems never spoke.

The service customer in-market

Someone whose service history says loyal and whose website behavior says shopping, reachable before they walk into a competitor down the road.

The brand-new prospect

A visitor who has shopped the dealer's site but has never bought or serviced there, a genuinely net-new prospect to reach before anyone else does.

What deployment looks like

One pixel per dealer site. It tracks activity across the dealer's inventory and VDP pages and works with major dealership website providers including Dealer.com, DealerOn and Dealer Inspire. Installing it is usually a short conversation with the dealer's site provider, which we support, and that is the main gating item on this capability.

Curious how many of the dealer's site visitors are already known customers?

Requires the Activator website pixel installed on each dealer's site. The 420K figure is a global number to date across the dealers we measure, as of October 2026 and varies by dealer with traffic volume, pixel coverage and DMS history depth. Page-level origination-source audience building is not currently available.

Frequently asked questions

Can Activator identify anonymous website visitors?

Yes. Website Identity Resolution, powered by Launch Labs, recognizes which visitors are people already in the dealer’s data, turning anonymous traffic into known, resolved people.

What does it need to work?

The Activator website pixel installed on the dealer’s site, set up as part of a paid Activator install.
